The ICON STYLISTS story begins back in the early 80s where a very young JAL CLARKE began his carreer in hairdressing working along side some of the giants of today. After a 3 year extensive sassoons training working in the very underground salons of covent garden Jal soon began to master very creative and very technical techniques.Working on films, t.v, magazines and theatre became his passion.Opening ICON STYLISTS with partner NICKY PHILPOTT was an exciting project for this dynamic couple.NICKY who is ICONS EXTENSIONS SPECIALIST says leaving the major cities for a more scenic outlook has given us both a new focus on our future in hairdressing. Icon is striving to acheive the quality of hairstyling and customer service that both Jal and Nicky feel was slowly disappearing in major city areas.Icon is striving to get back to that very 80s attitude that gave hairdressers the respect and recognition the trade has today."We have all lived a very commercial life for the passed decade" says Icons artistic director Jal Clarke "lets all get back to the quality and dedication that has made the giants of today.
